How Precise Taxes RVA handles the information you send through this website, and what we never ask you to send.

This policy explains what information this website collects, why, who handles it for us, and how to ask us to delete it. It covers precisetaxesrva.com only. It does not cover the tax and accounting work we do for clients, which is governed by our engagement letters and our Written Information Security Plan.

Do not send tax documents through this website
Never enter Social Security numbers, Employer Identification Numbers or other tax ID numbers in any form on this site, and never send tax returns or other tax documents through it. The forms here are for starting a conversation. Once we have spoken, we will arrange a secure way to share documents.
What the contact form collects, and why
When you send the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), whether you are a business or an individual, the services you are interested in, your message, and how you prefer to be contacted. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to set up your file.
If you tick “It’s OK to text me”, we record that consent, the time you gave it, the wording you agreed to and the number you gave, so that we can show what you agreed to. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any text or by telling us. Consent to texts is never a condition of service.
Before your message is sent on to us, anything in it that looks like a Social Security number or an Employer Identification Number is removed automatically. The website does not store form submissions.
Who handles the form for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, receives the form on our behalf, and runs Turnstile, which checks that a form was sent by a person rather than a bot.
- Resend delivers each enquiry to our inbox by email.
- Our customer relationship manager (CRM) stores enquiries so that we can follow up. We will name the provider here once it is chosen.
These providers process the information on our behalf and only for these purposes.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement on this site. Through it we may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (with form fields masked), and the Meta pixel to measure advertising. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers only after you accept them in our cookie banner; until then, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default (Google Consent Mode). Before you choose, Google Analytics may send basic measurements without setting cookies, as Google Consent Mode allows. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page.
Calculators
The calculators on this site run in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address only to send it. The signup goes through our website to Beehiiv, which stores your address and sends the emails for us; it first sends you an email asking you to confirm. Every issue has an unsubscribe link. We do not use information from your tax return to decide what we send you without your separate written consent, as federal rules on tax return information (Internal Revenue Code section 7216) require.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the providers listed above, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Information about clients is kept for as long as our professional and legal obligations require.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@precisetaxesrva.com or calling (804) 513-2990. We will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
